Ibrahimpatnam police registered multiple cases against former minister and YSR Congress Party leader Jogi Ramesh on charges of making inappropriate remarks against Minister Nara Lokesh. Police said his comments could provoke tensions between castes and religious groups. Based on these allegations, officers booked him under several sections of the law.

Case Filed Over Alleged Inflammatory Remarks

Police stated that Jogi Ramesh made statements that threatened public harmony. They said the remarks targeted individuals and communities in a manner that could disturb peace. Acting on these complaints, Ibrahimpatnam police formally registered cases against him.

Officials confirmed that the action followed a detailed review of the statements made by the former minister. They added that maintaining law and order remained their priority.

Attack on Jogi Ramesh’s Residence Under Probe

Police also registered cases related to the attack on Jogi Ramesh’s residence. Officers booked the case under multiple sections after examining the incident. Authorities said they took suo motu action based on CCTV footage from the area.

Ibrahimpatnam Sub-Inspector Satyavathi registered the case after reviewing the visuals. Police continue to analyse the footage to identify everyone involved in the incident.

Cases Filed Against Several YSRCP Leaders

Police also booked cases against several YSRCP leaders in connection with related incidents. Those named include NTR district president Devineni Avinash, former Nandigama MLA Monditoka Jaganmohan Rao, former AMC chairman Mastan, and Srinivasa Rao.

Authorities said police arrested some individuals while they were heading to inspect the attack on Jogi Ramesh’s residence. Separate cases were registered in connection with those arrests.

TDP Workers Also Named in Attack Case

Ibrahimpatnam police also registered cases against TDP workers linked to the residence attack. Police named Kaki Nagaraju, Ganapati, and Mesipamu Baburao in the case. Officials said they would take further action after completing the investigation.

Charges of Obstructing Police Duties

Police booked YSRCP leaders on charges of obstructing police duties and disturbing public order. They said the cases were filed based on a complaint from an Ibrahimpatnam head constable. Officers confirmed that they invoked multiple legal sections to address the violations.

Police said investigations are ongoing in all related cases. Authorities stressed that they will act firmly against anyone found responsible for disrupting peace and hindering police work.
