Andhra Pradesh Minister for Mines, Geology & Excise, Kollu Ravindra, visited the sacred Tirumala Tirupati temple along with his family on Tuesday. The minister had darshan of Lord Venkateswara and offered special prayers.
Temple officials accorded a warm welcome to Kollu Ravindra and his family with traditional honors. After the darshan, Vedic scholars blessed them at the Ranganayakula Mandapam. The temple authorities later presented Srivari Tirtha Prasadam and a portrait of the deity.
Speaking briefly, the minister said he prayed for the well-being of the people of Andhra Pradesh and the progress of the state. He also said that visiting Tirumala brings peace and spiritual strength.
Several party leaders and officials accompanied the minister during the visit.
