A tragic incident has emerged from Hyderabad, where 21-year-old YouTuber Komali reportedly ended her life after her romantic relationship failed. The incident took place in the Chitrapuri Colony of Manikonda, leaving her family and the local community in shock.
Komali, originally from Visakhapatnam, was pursuing a B.Sc. at Mallareddy University in Hyderabad while also creating YouTube videos and reels, gaining recognition among viewers. She had been in a relationship with software engineer and fellow YouTuber Akhil Reddy for the past three years. However, disagreements regarding marriage plans led to growing tensions, ultimately resulting in a breakup approximately a year ago.
Previous Suicide Attempt Six Months Ago
The young woman reportedly attempted suicide six months prior due to emotional distress, but was stopped by relatives. Despite interventions, Akhil Reddy’s lack of commitment and continued distance caused Komali increasing mental anguish. In the days leading up to her death, she posted a video expressing her desire to reunite with her partner. In one final video, she was seen ascending the Tirumala steps, a haunting record of her last moments.
Incident Details
On Monday, alone at home, Komali reportedly hanged herself, leaving her family devastated. Her mother filed a complaint with the Rayadurg Police Station, which brought the incident to light. Police arrived at the scene, secured the area, and transported her body for postmortem examination.
Family Grief and Police Investigation
Komali’s family believes that harassment and emotional neglect from her former partner played a key role in her death. Investigations are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances and any potential contributing factors. Authorities have registered a case, and further inquiries are underway.
The tragic loss of Komali highlights the emotional toll that relationship struggles can have, especially on young individuals in the public eye. Mental health experts emphasise the importance of support systems and awareness to prevent such heartbreaking outcomes.
