In Machilipatnam, Krishna district, medical students organised a large-scale awareness rally to mark World Cancer Day. The rally started at Koneru Centre and moved all the way to Bell Company, drawing the attention of residents along the route.
The event aimed to spread awareness about cancer prevention and early detection. District Collector D.K. Balaji actively participated, leading chants and slogans that energised the participants and onlookers.
The rally saw participation from government hospital superintendent Ashalatha, medical faculty, and hundreds of students from the local medical college. The coordinated efforts highlighted the importance of public engagement in promoting health awareness and early screening for cancer.
Officials emphasised that initiatives like these encourage communities to recognise cancer symptoms early and seek timely medical intervention, potentially saving countless lives.
