In a major crackdown, a Kuwaiti court has sentenced two Indian nationals to death in a drug trafficking case. The verdict reflects Kuwait’s strict stand against narcotics and organized drug crimes.
Arrest During Anti-Drug Drive
Recently, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior launched a special operation to curb drug trafficking. As part of this drive, officers kept close watch in the Kaifan and Shuwaikh areas. Soon after, they arrested two Indian nationals on suspicion of drug smuggling.
During searches, officials seized a huge quantity of drugs. They recovered 14 kg of heroin and 8 kg of methamphetamine. This large seizure confirmed the seriousness of the case.
International Drug Network Angle
Meanwhile, investigators probed deeper into the case. They found that the accused had links to an international drug network. According to officials, the drugs were meant for large-scale supply. This raised serious concerns about public safety.
The prosecution then placed strong evidence before the court. It included seizure details and investigation reports. These clearly showed the role of the accused in drug trafficking.
Court Verdict and Punishment
After reviewing all facts, the court found both men guilty. Considering the huge quantity of drugs, the judge imposed the death penalty. Under Kuwaiti law, such crimes attract the harshest punishment.
Strong Warning to Traffickers
Therefore, officials said the verdict sends a clear warning. Kuwait will not tolerate drug crimes. Authorities also said they will continue strict checks and raids.
Overall, the case highlights Kuwait’s zero-tolerance policy on drugs. It also serves as a reminder of the severe consequences of trafficking.
