YSR Congress Party leader Lakshmi Parvathi launched a sharp attack on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, accusing him of betraying the legacy of former Chief Minister N T Rama Rao (NTR). She also issued a stern warning to Minister Nara Lokesh, stating that the YSRCP would take strict action if it returned to power.
Addressing the media, Lakshmi Parvathi said Chandrababu Naidu lacked genuine respect for NTR. According to her, Naidu only uses NTR’s name for political gains. However, his actions clearly show a lack of commitment to honoring the legendary leader. She alleged that backstabbing politics had always been Chandrababu’s trademark.
Meanwhile, Lakshmi Parvathi questioned the sincerity of the government’s promise to install a grand statue of NTR. She said such announcements aim only to mislead the public. In contrast, she pointed out that leaders from other states strongly pressure the Centre to secure Bharat Ratna awards for their icons. However, she alleged that Chandrababu deliberately stepped back when it came to NTR.
Moreover, Lakshmi Parvathi demanded that the state government immediately urge the Centre to confer the Bharat Ratna on NTR. She stated that true respect requires action, not symbolic gestures. Therefore, she asked why Chandrababu failed to fight for the highest civilian honor for NTR.
Turning to law and order, Lakshmi Parvathi accused the ruling coalition government of allowing violence and atrocities across the state. According to her, murders and attacks have increased under the present regime. She blamed the government directly for the deteriorating situation.
Additionally, she made strong remarks against Minister Nara Lokesh. Lakshmi Parvathi warned that the YSRCP would form an inquiry commission against Lokesh once it regained power. She further stated that the party would ensure his arrest after completing the investigation.
Furthermore, she announced plans to write a detailed letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighting what she described as the coalition government’s failures. She said protecting wrongdoers amounts to injustice. At the same time, she asserted that the public was closely watching every development.
In conclusion, Lakshmi Parvathi said the YSRCP would hold the ruling government accountable. She expressed confidence that people would soon deliver a fitting response.
