Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh has launched sharp criticism against former Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, questioning the financial priorities of the previous government. He reacted to a national media report claiming that Jagan spent ₹222 crore on air travel during the five years of YSRCP rule.

Lokesh Slams Extravagant Use of Public Funds
Lokesh shared his remarks on social media and accused Jagan of ignoring the real issues faced by the people. He said that citizens struggled with unemployment and lacked basic facilities, yet the then Chief Minister chose to misuse public money.
Furthermore, Lokesh pointed to Jagan’s ₹500-crore luxurious residential palace and added that the former CM traveled extensively in chartered aircraft at the cost of taxpayers. According to him, these expenses reveal how the previous administration placed personal comfort above public welfare.
“The Real Truth Is Finally Coming Out” — Lokesh’s Remarks
Lokesh continued his criticism with a strong statement reflecting his frustration. He said that the real facts about Jagan’s governance are now coming to light. Andhra Pradesh needed a leader with vision, he noted, but Jagan treated the state as if it were a vacation destination.
Lokesh’s comment, delivered in his signature style, highlighted what he views as a clear contrast between responsible leadership and reckless governance.
Growing Debate on Governance and Accountability
These remarks have triggered fresh political discussions in the state. Lokesh’s statements also underline the ruling government’s focus on transparency and accountability, especially regarding the use of public funds.
As the debate widens, many citizens are now revisiting questions about priorities during the previous administration and how the state’s financial resources were handled.
