Minister for Mines, Geology and Excise Kollu Ravindra announced that road development works worth ₹10 crore are underway across several areas in the Machilipatnam constituency.
The Minister held a Public Darbar at his camp office on Saturday evening and received petitions from local residents. He said the government is committed to solving people’s issues quickly.

Ravindra informed the media that the Minister for Roads and Buildings will visit Machilipatnam on December 9 and 10. In their presence, new road works will begin in Chinnapuram, Kona, Kammavaripalem, Tallapalem, and nearby areas.
He said the coalition government has been working closely with people since it came to power. As per the Chief Minister’s orders, all constituencies hold a Public Darbar every Friday to listen to citizens and resolve their problems. Because of the Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting held on Dec 5, the event was conducted on Saturday this week.
The Minister said that the constituency received 2,264 petitions in the past 18 months and almost all have been resolved. Another 208 petitions came through online platforms and most of them were also cleared. Pending applications were reopened and moved to the dashboard for further action so officials can provide better solutions.

Housing Requests on the Rise
Ravindra stated that most of the current petitions are related to housing. Many people are requesting TIDCO houses, which he described as a very good scheme for the poor. Some beneficiaries have already received houses.
He said there are 6,000 houses in the constituency that are at foundation level. The government will discuss them in the Cabinet and make a decision soon. Of these, 4,000 to 5,000 houses will be completed and handed over to beneficiaries shortly.
Citizens, he said, are happy because they now have leaders who listen to their concerns. He added that the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Nara Lokesh regularly visit the field and stay connected with the public.

Pension Distribution Will Continue
Ravindra assured that eligible pensions will not be removed. The government is giving ₹35,000 crore every year to support 64 lakh pensioners. He said people should not worry and that new pensions will also be approved, especially for those above 60 years and for persons with disabilities. The Chief Minister is reviewing this matter.
Education and Farmers’ Welfare
The Minister said the Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting was a major success. It helped the government understand students’ needs and improve school infrastructure for their future.
He also stated that the government supported farmers through the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme by providing investment assistance. Grain is currently being purchased through Rythu Seva Kendras, and farmers need not worry. The government will buy every grain they produce.
He added that payments are being made to farmers within 24 hours of the millers receiving the grain — something that has never happened before.
Railway Route Progress
Ravindra said the railway line connecting Machilipatnam to Repalle, which links to South India, is moving ahead. The Minister spoke to the Union Minister about the project. A detailed report has been prepared, and the proposal will soon be approved in Parliament.
Many public representatives attended the event, including Corporator Anitha, Brahmin Corporation Director PV Phani Kumar, AMC Chairman Kunche Nani, former AMC Chairman Gopu Satyanarayana, former Municipal Chairman Motamarri Baba Prasad, former MPP Kagitha Venkateswara Rao, and other local leaders and petitioners.
