West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has raised serious concerns over reports linked to a plane crash involving Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. Reacting strongly, she said the incident should not be treated as a routine accident and hinted that a deeper conspiracy could be behind it.
Speaking to the media, Mamata Banerjee demanded a high-level investigation under the direct supervision of the Supreme Court. She stated that only an independent and transparent probe could bring out the truth. According to her, the safety of political leaders across the country has become a major concern.
The Chief Minister expressed worry over the functioning of investigative agencies. She alleged that these agencies no longer operate independently. Because of this, she said she trusts only the Supreme Court to ensure justice. Mamata stressed that a court-monitored inquiry would help clear doubts and restore public confidence.
She also referred to recent political developments surrounding Ajit Pawar. Reports had surfaced two days earlier suggesting that he was considering distancing himself from the BJP-led alliance. Mamata Banerjee linked these developments to the seriousness of the situation and urged authorities not to ignore any angle.
Calling the matter sensitive, she appealed to the central government to act responsibly. She said the nation deserves clarity, not silence. Mamata concluded by saying that the truth must come out, irrespective of political consequences.
