Tollywood is witnessing a massive surge in big-ticket releases from Mega heroes in 2026, turning the year into a festival for fans. The momentum began with Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Sankranti release, which opened strong and crossed the ₹300 crore mark in record time, setting the tone for what promises to be a blockbuster year.
Chiranjeevi’s film, released on January 12, received unanimous positive talk from the first show. Strong word of mouth helped the film dominate the box office within days. As a result, Mega fans entered the year with renewed excitement and confidence.
Meanwhile, Power Star Pawan Kalyan is gearing up for the release of Ustaad Bhagat Singh on March 26. Promotional material has already created buzz across social media. Trade analysts expect the film to make a strong impact during its opening weekend.
Following that, Ram Charan will arrive with his prestigious project Peddi on May 1. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana and powered by A.R. Rahman’s music, the film carries high expectations among audiences and industry circles.
Later in the year, Chiranjeevi will return with the mythological drama Vishwambhara, scheduled for a July 10 release. The film adds genre variety to the Mega lineup. In addition, Varun Tej plans a summer surprise with Korean Kanakaraju, further strengthening the slate.
