Meta India has announced the appointment of Aman Jain as its new Head of Public Policy, marking a key leadership addition as the company strengthens its policy and regulatory engagement in one of its most important global markets. Jain will take charge early next year and will report directly to Simon Milner, Meta’s Vice President of Policy for the Asia-Pacific region. He will also join Meta India’s leadership team.
Aman Jain brings over two decades of expertise in public policy and business strategy. His career spans major global technology companies, government roles, and international organisations. At Google India, he held significant leadership positions, including Country Head for Government Affairs and Public Policy. He later moved to Amazon, where he most recently served as Director of Public Policy, managing strategic policymaking across areas such as marketplace operations, competition, and technology.
In an official statement, Meta highlighted Jain’s extensive experience, noting that his deep understanding of India’s evolving digital landscape makes him a strong fit for the role. The company believes his policy leadership will help navigate the complex regulatory environment while strengthening Meta’s collaboration with government and industry stakeholders.
Welcoming Jain to the team, Simon Milner called India a key market, particularly as the nation’s digital economy rapidly expands into artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and the creator ecosystem. Milner said Meta remains committed to building a more inclusive, trusted, and future-ready internet ecosystem in India. He added that Jain will also contribute to Meta’s broader APAC policy leadership group.
With this appointment, Meta aims to reinforce its long-term policy framework in India, ensuring smoother engagement with regulators and continued support for the country’s fast-growing digital ecosystem.
