Narendra Modi has created history on Instagram by crossing 100 million followers. He became the first world leader to reach this milestone. The achievement highlights his unmatched digital influence across the globe.
Modi joined Instagram in 2014. Over the past decade, he steadily built a strong online presence. Today, he leads all global leaders in follower count on the platform.
Modi Leads Global Leaders by a Huge Margin
When compared with other heads of state, Modi stands far ahead. Donald Trump holds the second position with around 43.2 million followers. However, that figure is less than half of Modi’s total.
Meanwhile, Prabowo Subianto has about 15 million followers. Brazilian President Lula follows with nearly 14.4 million. Even if the next five global leaders combine their followers, they still do not match Modi’s numbers. This gap clearly shows his global digital dominance.
Modi Tops Among Indian Political Leaders
Domestically, Modi also leads by a wide margin. Yogi Adityanath ranks second in India with around 16.1 million followers. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi stands third with 12.6 million followers.
The difference between Modi and other Indian leaders remains significant. His consistent engagement strategy keeps him ahead in the digital race.
Strong Presence Across Social Media Platforms
Modi’s influence goes beyond Instagram. On X, he has over 106.2 million followers. In addition, he commands more than 54 million followers on Facebook.
These numbers reflect his strong communication network across platforms. They also highlight his ability to connect with global audiences directly.
Highest Approval Rating Among Global Leaders
Modi’s popularity is not limited to social media. According to a recent survey by Morning Consult, he secured a 67 per cent approval rating in early February. This placed him at the top among world leaders.
In comparison, Donald Trump received a 40 per cent approval rating and ranked 11th in the same survey. The data further strengthens Modi’s global standing.
