Tollywood’s young and energetic star Naveen Polishetty once again grabbed attention with his trademark humor during the promotions of his upcoming film ‘Anaganaga Oka Raju’. Directed by Kalyan Shankar, the film stars Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female lead and is set to release on January 14 as a Sankranthi special.
At a recent promotional event, Naveen spoke openly about his personal life, career journey, and the excitement surrounding his new role. When reporters asked about his marriage, Naveen responded in his own witty style, drawing a humorous reference to actor Prabhas.
“The day after Prabhas’ brother gets married… exactly 12 hours later, I will also get married,” he said with a smile, sending the audience into laughter.
Speaking about his career, Naveen said he has reinvented himself for this film. From Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya to Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty, he emphasized that each role he played was different. “In Anaganaga Oka Raju, audiences will see me in a completely new avatar with the flavor of the Godavari districts. You won’t be reminded of my previous films,” he said confidently.
Addressing the Sankranthi box-office competition, Naveen dismissed any pressure. He clarified that there is no competition with Megastar Chiranjeevi, calling him an inspiration for many middle-class youngsters. “We grew up watching Chiranjeevi garu. Releasing our film alongside his only gives us excitement,” he added.
Naveen also recalled his early struggles, sharing emotional memories of working as a wedding host in Mumbai. He credited his journey and hardships for shaping his success today.
