Nellore district authorities took swift action against Anantapur Tehsildar Jayavardhan after he sexually harassed a female government employee. The woman reported that he made inappropriate comments and behaved in a harassing manner at his office on February 6. District Collector Himanshu Shukla immediately suspended him and ordered that he stay at headquarters under supervision. The Local Complaint Committee investigated the case and confirmed the employee’s claims.
