Members of Hindu organisations have announced that a grand procession in honour of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj will take place today in Palamaner town of Chittoor district. Organisers said the Shobha Yatra will begin at 3 PM and move through key areas of the town before concluding at its starting point.
Procession Route and Timings
According to the organisers, the rally will start from the Lions Club in Palamaner at 3 PM. From there, it will pass through Rekkamanu Circle and then move toward Jilani Circle. Later, the procession will proceed past the local petrol bunk, continue along MBT Road, and travel through Javili Street. Finally, it will return to the Lions Club premises.
Organisers stated that volunteers have made arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the event. Moreover, they expect strong participation from residents and youth groups.
Call for Public Participation
Hindu organisation members have appealed to all Hindu brothers and sisters to join the Shobha Yatra in large numbers. They emphasised that the procession aims to celebrate the legacy and courage of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Therefore, they encouraged families, community leaders, and local supporters to take part respectfully.
Such events often draw large gatherings in the region. As a result, authorities may monitor traffic and security along the route to avoid inconvenience to the public. Residents have been advised to plan their travel accordingly during the procession hours.
The organisers expressed confidence that the Shobha Yatra will conclude peacefully and reflect community unity in Palamaner.
