Deputy CM to launch major temple development works
Jana Sena Party chief and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan will visit the renowned Kondagattu Sri Anjaneya Swamy Temple in Telangana on January 3, 2026. The visit has gained both spiritual and political significance, as he is scheduled to participate in key development programmes at the temple.
Temple authorities confirmed that elaborate arrangements are underway for the visit.
Foundation stone and Bhoomi Puja planned
During his visit, Pawan Kalyan will lay the foundation stone for major construction works aimed at improving facilities for devotees. He will also perform Bhoomi Puja for the construction of a Diksha Khirat Mandapam and a large accommodation complex.
These projects are designed mainly to benefit thousands of devotees who undertake Hanuman Diksha every year at Kondagattu.
Development works worth Rs 35.19 crore
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has taken up these development works with a budget of Rs. 35.19 crore. According to officials, the Diksha Mandapam will be spacious enough to accommodate around 2,000 devotees at a time.
In addition, a modern inn with 96 rooms will be constructed to provide comfortable lodging for pilgrims coming from distant places. These facilities are expected to significantly enhance the temple’s infrastructure and pilgrim experience.
Long-standing association with Kondagattu temple
Pawan Kalyan has a long-standing spiritual connection with the Kondagattu Anjanna temple. Traditionally, he visits the shrine before taking major political decisions. During earlier visits, devotees raised concerns about inadequate facilities.
Following those interactions, Pawan Kalyan assured support through TTD funding, which later led to the sanctioning of these projects. Now, as Deputy Chief Minister, his participation in the launch of these works has assumed special importance.
Tight security arrangements in place
Meanwhile, temple authorities and Jana Sena activists are making extensive preparations for the visit. The Jagityala district police are also arranging tight security to ensure the smooth conduct of the programme.
