Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan visited the famous Kondagattu Sri Anjaneyaswamy Temple on Saturday. The visit drew attention as it combined devotion with major development initiatives.
First, Pawan Kalyan offered special prayers to Lord Anjaneyaswamy. He presented new clothes to the deity and fulfilled his vows. Later, he performed pradakshinas around the temple with deep devotion. Temple priests conducted special rituals as per tradition.
Meanwhile, temple authorities gave him a grand welcome with Poornakumbham. Chief priest Kapindra Swamy formally received him and guided him into the shrine. Afterward, priests offered Vedic blessings and sacred prasadam.
Importantly, Pawan Kalyan laid the foundation stone for major development works at the temple. These projects are estimated to cost ₹35.19 crore. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is supporting the construction. The projects include a Deeksha Viramana Mandapam and a 96-room pilgrim rest house.
Earlier, during his 2024 temple visit after the general election victory, Pawan Kalyan had promised support for temple development. Now, he fulfilled that promise. As a result, devotees welcomed the initiative with enthusiasm.
At the same time, several dignitaries joined the event. TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu, Telangana Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar, and local MLA Medipalli Satyam attended the programme. Officials from the Endowments Department were also present.
In addition, Janasena Party leaders and TTD board members participated in the darshan. Their presence added significance to the occasion.
Overall, the visit reflected a blend of spirituality and governance. Moreover, the development works aim to improve facilities for pilgrims. With these projects, the Kondagattu temple is set to receive a major infrastructure boost.
