Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan held a courtesy meeting with US Consul General Laura Williams on Tuesday at his camp office in Vijayawada. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation and discussing development-related initiatives in the state.
During the interaction, both sides exchanged views on expanding collaboration across key sectors. They discussed opportunities for mutual cooperation that could support Andhra Pradesh’s growth and development. Sources said the talks highlighted the importance of continued engagement and partnership between the state and the United States.
Pawan Kalyan emphasized the need for collaborative efforts to promote economic development, innovation, and people-to-people ties. Laura Williams expressed interest in enhancing cooperation in areas of shared priority, including trade, investment, and cultural exchange.
Several senior representatives from the US Embassy accompanied the Consul General during the meeting. The delegation included Meredith Metzler, Abdul Rehman Habib, Public Diplomacy Officer, Sreemali Kari, Political Specialist, and Shiba Tripathi, Economic Specialist. Their presence underlined the significance of the discussions and the broad scope of engagement.
Political and economic experts also took part in the interaction, making the meeting notable for its comprehensive approach.
