Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan issued a strong warning to his political opponents, saying they should not force him to take harsh political decisions. He made the remarks while laying the foundation stone for the Amarajeevi Jaladhara Project at Peravali in Nidadavolu mandal of East Godavari district.
Speaking at the event, Pawan Kalyan said freedom fighters Burgula Ramakrishna Rao and Potti Sriramulu will always remain close to his heart. He highlighted the importance of the water grid project, stating that the government is spending ₹7,910 crore across five districts to address drinking water needs. The project aims to provide safe drinking water to nearly 1.20 crore people.
Project to Be Completed by 2027
Pawan Kalyan said the project design connects several coastal regions to ensure wider coverage. He added that the government plans to complete the project by 2027. He also responded to criticism over delays, saying opposition leaders were raising baseless allegations.
Strong Warning to YSRCP Leaders
Referring to statements made by YSRCP leaders, Pawan Kalyan said he never feared threats even when they were in power. He accused them of using intimidating language and warned against resorting to rowdyism.
“Spend just two days verifying the details of hired goons and rowdies, and the truth will come out,” he said.
Pawan Kalyan cautioned that if he takes a firm political decision against such elements, such remarks will stop. “I am warning those making allegations. Do not push me towards political decisions,” he said.
‘Power Does Not Change Me’
The Deputy CM asserted that power does not alter his character. “Whether in power or not, Pawan Kalyan remains the same,” he said. He further remarked that rowdy elements should face strict action, citing the firm law-and-order approach followed by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The comments have triggered fresh political debate in the state, adding intensity to the ongoing war of words between the ruling alliance and the opposition.
