Kurnool: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit the Srisailam temple on October 16. This marks his first visit to the sacred shrine of Lord Mallikarjuna and Goddess Bhramaramba. BJP Andhra Pradesh president Madhav announced it on Monday.
The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for the Drone City at the Orvakal Industrial Hub during his visit to the State.
Speaking to the media, Madhav said the Prime Minister’s visit would enhance the spiritual and cultural significance of the ancient temple town. “Modi ji’s arrival at Srisailam will further elevate the prominence of this holy site. It will also boost the region’s development,” he said.
Ahead of the visit, Madhav, TDP MP Byreddy Shabari, District Collector Rajakumari, and temple EO Srinivas Rao, along with other officials, inspected the arrangements at various points within the temple premises. According to Madhav, after offering prayers to Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy and Goddess Bhramaramba, the Prime Minister will visit the Shivaji Inspiration Centre. The Prime Minister will spend time at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Meditation Hall and the Shivaji Royal Court.
Later in the day, the Prime Minister will proceed to Kurnool to take part in a roadshow. There he is likely to address a public gathering. Madhav said Modi would also speak about the Simplified GST (Super GST) initiative. This aims to create awareness among citizens about its benefits and savings. The BJP leadership has described the Prime Minister’s upcoming visit as a significant spiritual and developmental milestone for the Rayalaseema region.
