A serious road accident was reported near Markapuram in Prakasam district after a car collided head-on with a private travel bus on the national highway. The incident took place in the early hours of the morning near Gollapalli village in Tripuranthakam mandal. Due to dense fog and low visibility, the vehicles were unable to avoid the crash, leading to severe damage.
One person sustained critical injuries in the accident and was immediately shifted to a nearby government hospital for treatment. Doctors confirmed that the injured victim is currently under observation. The front portion of the car was completely crushed due to the impact, highlighting the intensity of the collision.
Residents alerted the authorities soon after the mishap. Tripuranthakam police reached the spot, cleared the traffic congestion, and registered a case. An investigation has been initiated to determine the exact cause of the accident.
