Railway Koduru: The movement of wild bears created panic in Balireddypalle village under the Railway Koduru constituency limits. Two bears suddenly attacked a farmer, triggering fear among residents.
Farmer Seriously Injured in Sudden Attack
Amarnath Reddy had gone to his agricultural fields for routine farm work when the incident occurred. Suddenly, two bears launched a swift attack on him. The assault left him with severe injuries.
Villagers who noticed the attack rushed to the spot and shifted him to a hospital in Tirupati for emergency treatment. Doctors stated that his condition remains critical.
Authorities Issue Warning to Villagers
Meanwhile, forest and revenue officials responded quickly to the situation. They conducted drum announcements in the village to alert residents about the presence of bears.
Officials strictly warned farmers and villagers not to venture into fields, especially during night hours. In addition, they urged people to stay indoors and avoid isolated areas until the situation improves.
Forest Department Intensifies Search Operations
At present, forest officials have intensified combing operations in and around the affected area. Teams are tracking the movement of the bears and taking steps to prevent further attacks.
