Arasavalli in Srikakulam district has geared up for the grand Ratha Saptami festival, with authorities putting in place extensive arrangements to ensure a smooth experience for devotees. Endowments Department Commissioner Ramachandra Mohan personally reviewed the preparations and stressed the need for orderly darshan, safety, and comfort for pilgrims arriving in large numbers.
At the outset, temple officials confirmed that four separate queue lines have been arranged exclusively for general devotees. This step aims to reduce waiting time and manage crowd flow effectively. Moreover, the administration has ensured that VIP visits will not disturb common devotees. To achieve this, officials created dedicated queue lines for VIPs, thereby keeping regular darshan uninterrupted.
Meanwhile, Commissioner Ramachandra Mohan, along with DSP Vivekananda, inspected the temple premises and surrounding areas. During the inspection, they reviewed crowd management plans, security arrangements, and emergency preparedness. They also issued clear instructions to staff and police officials to remain alert throughout the festival period. Temple officials and police will work closely together to ensure smooth crowd control, discipline, and the safety of devotees.
In addition, the Endowments Department has focused strongly on basic amenities. Authorities arranged nearly 70 water tankers to ensure a continuous water supply for devotees. Alongside this, they stocked around 30,000 drinking water bottles to help pilgrims cope with long queues and warm weather conditions. These measures aim to prevent inconvenience and health issues during the festival.
Furthermore, sanitation teams will remain on duty round the clock to keep the temple surroundings clean. Medical teams and first-aid centres will also stay ready to handle emergencies. Officials emphasised that clear signboards and volunteer support will guide devotees at every stage, from entry points to darshan exits.
Speaking during the review, Ramachandra Mohan underlined that Ratha Saptami holds immense religious importance. Therefore, he urged all departments to work in close coordination. He also instructed officials to prioritise senior citizens, women, and differently-abled devotees while managing queues.
Overall, the administration remains confident that these arrangements will ensure a peaceful and spiritually fulfilling Ratha Saptami celebration in Arasavalli. With careful planning, sufficient resources, and strict monitoring, officials aim to offer devotees a safe, organised, and memorable festival experience.
