Vaishnava temples across the Telugu states and the country witnessed a surge of devotion on the occasion of Vaikuntha Ekadashi, with thousands of devotees arriving in the early hours for Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan.
At the renowned Tirumala Srivari Temple, Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan began at 1.30 am on Monday. Initially, temple authorities allowed VIP devotees to pass through the Vaikuntha Dwara, while general devotees were permitted darshan from 6 am onwards. Since 2 am, devotees lined up in large numbers, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere in and around the temple.
On this auspicious occasion, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, along with his family members, offered prayers at the Tirumala temple during the early morning hours. The Chief Minister and his family reached Tirumala late on Monday night. Temple priests accorded them a ceremonial welcome upon arrival.
Meanwhile, TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu and senior temple officials received the Chief Minister and facilitated the darshan arrangements. After completing the Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan of Lord Venkateswara, the priests blessed Revanth Reddy and his family. They also offered Tirtha and Prasadam as part of the traditional rituals.
In addition, the Tirumala hills echoed with continuous chants of “Govinda, Govinda”, enhancing the festive and devotional spirit. Temple authorities made elaborate arrangements to manage the heavy influx of devotees and ensure smooth darshan throughout the day.
Vaikuntha Ekadashi holds immense religious significance for devotees of Lord Vishnu. According to scriptures, offering prayers through the Uttara Dwara on this day is believed to grant spiritual liberation and divine blessings. As a result, Tirumala and other Vaishnava temples remained vibrant with devotion and faith.
