Car Crashes Into Private Bus on National Highway
A tragic road accident occurred in Nandyal district on Friday morning, claiming four lives on the spot. The incident took place on the national highway between Nallagatla and Battaluru villages in Allagadda mandal.
According to police, a car traveling from Tirupati to Hyderabad lost control at high speed. The vehicle crossed the road divider and rammed into a private travel bus coming from the opposite direction. The impact was severe, leaving the car completely damaged.
Four Killed, Two Seriously Injured
Four passengers traveling in the car died instantly due to the collision. Police identified the deceased as Gunde Rao, Shravan, Narasimha, and Bunny. All four were residents of Nizampet in Hyderabad.
Two other occupants in the car suffered serious injuries. Emergency responders rushed them to a nearby government hospital for treatment. Doctors described their condition as critical.
Bus Passengers Escape Unhurt
The private travel bus involved in the accident was traveling from Hyderabad to Puducherry. Fortunately, none of the bus passengers sustained injuries. Authorities arranged an alternative bus to help them continue their journey.
Police Investigation Underway
Allagadda DSP Pramod Kumar visited the accident site and inspected the scene. Police suspect overspeeding and loss of vehicle control as the primary causes of the crash. Officials have registered a case and launched an investigation.
The incident has once again raised concerns over road safety and speeding on national highways in the district.
