Tension grips Sangareddy village after overnight protest with body
A tense situation unfolded in Manik Nayak Thanda of Sangareddy district after a young woman allegedly died by suicide. Her family members accused her live-in partner of murder and staged a protest by placing her body in front of his house. The protest continued throughout Saturday night, prompting heavy police deployment in the area.
According to police and family sources, the victim was identified as Vadithe Kaveri, a resident of Vitthal Nayak Thanda in Sirgapur mandal. She was reportedly in a relationship with Sabhavat Srikanth of Manik Nayak Thanda. When their families opposed the relationship, the couple moved to Hyderabad, where they began living together in LB Nagar.
Suicide reported amid relationship disputes
Police stated that recent differences arose between the couple. As a result, Kaveri allegedly became distressed and died by suicide at their residence on Saturday. Authorities initially registered the case as a suspected suicide and began an investigation.
However, Kaveri’s family strongly disputed this version. They alleged that Srikanth killed their daughter and attempted to portray the death as suicide by hanging. Therefore, they transported Kaveri’s body to Manik Nayak Thanda and staged a protest outside Srikanth’s house.
Family demands justice, police on high alert
During the protest, family members declared that they would not move the body until justice was delivered. As tensions escalated, police increased security in the village to prevent any untoward incidents. Senior officers also held discussions with both families to calm the situation.
Meanwhile, local elders reportedly stepped in to mediate between the two families and explore the possibility of resolving the dispute peacefully. Police officials stated that they would proceed strictly based on evidence and post-mortem findings.
The investigation is currently ongoing, and authorities have assured that appropriate legal action will be taken once all facts are established.
