The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the National Entrance Test for SHRESHTA (NETS) 2026 in two days. The examination will take place on Sunday, December 21, at centres across the country.
Meanwhile, the NTA has released the SHRESHTA 2026 admit cards on its official website. Therefore, candidates who applied for the exam can now download their hall tickets by entering the application number, password, and security PIN.
Exam Schedule and Mode
The SHRESHTA–NETS 2026 exam will run in offline pen-and-paper mode. Moreover, the test will begin at 2:00 pm and conclude at 5:00 pm. The NTA will conduct the exam at 106 centres nationwide. Hence, candidates should download their admit cards early and verify all details.
About the SHRESHTA–NETS Scheme
The Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment conducts the SHRESHTA–NETS exam twice a year through the NTA. As a result, the scheme supports meritorious students from disadvantaged communities.
Furthermore, Scheduled Caste (SC) students who qualify can secure admission to Classes 9 and 11 in CBSE-affiliated private residential schools. Through this initiative, authorities aim to fill 3,000 seats across the country.
Eligibility and Result Timeline
For the 2025–26 academic year, students studying in Classes 8 and 10 can appear for the SHRESHTA 2026 exam. Subsequently, the NTA will announce the results within four to six weeks after the examination.
