The mysterious death of popular writer and YouTuber Srinivas Boggula has finally been cracked by the police. Initially treated as a road accident, detailed investigations revealed that the murder was a contract killing over financial disputes.
Background of the Case
Srinivas and the main accused, Venu Madhav Reddy, were long-time friends. Both were involved in a business using the GST license registered under Srinivas’ name for “Boggula BBQ.” They allegedly earned nearly ₹90 lakh through fake invoices. Disagreements over profit sharing—Srinivas demanded a 50% share—and the arrival of GST notices led to escalating conflicts between the two.
How the Murder Happened
The accused lured Srinivas from Hyderabad by promising to give him money. On the route between Nakirekal and Janagam, they attacked him with knives and iron rods, brutally killing him. To make it appear like an accident, they dumped Srinivas’ body along with the car into the Paleru reservoir.
Police Investigation and Case Crack
Following complaints from Srinivas’ family, police launched an intensive probe with four special teams. Using phone signal tracking and technical evidence, the investigation confirmed it was a planned murder. Police revealed that Venu Madhav Reddy paid ₹5 lakh to a gang to carry out the crime.
Arrests Made
The main accused, Venu Madhav Reddy, along with Koteswara Rao, Shaik Hafeez, and Azmat Aleel, have been arrested and remanded. ACP Reddy clarified that there were no political motives behind the killing; it was purely due to financial transactions.
The resolution of this case provides some relief to Srinivas’ family and the local community, ending months of uncertainty over the Boggu Srinivas murder mystery. Authorities have warned that anyone attempting similar financial disputes with violent outcomes will face strict action.
