Maha Shivaratri Brahmotsavams began traditionally at the Srisailam temple. Temple authorities marked the start of the festivities with the Yagasala entry ritual, setting the spiritual tone for the annual celebrations.
Later in the evening, priests will perform the Bheri Puja at 7 pm. Devotees will also witness the grand Tandava ritual, which holds special significance during the Shivaratri period.
From Tomorrow onward, the temple will conduct daily Vahana Sevas for Lord Mallikarjuna and Goddess Bhramaramba. Devotees from across the country have already started arriving at Srisailam to take part in the celebrations.
Temple officials confirmed that the Brahmotsavams will continue until the 18th of this month. Meanwhile, authorities have made special darshan arrangements to manage the expected surge in devotees.
Shiva Deeksha devotees will receive Sparsha Darshan until the 12th of the month. At the same time, officials are allowing Alankara Darshan for general devotees to ensure smooth crowd movement.
Security and temple staff remain on alert as the festival progresses. Officials have urged devotees to follow temple guidelines and cooperate with authorities during the festivities.
