Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy reviewed preparations for the Mahashivaratri Brahmotsavams at Srisailam. The festival will take place from February 8 to February 18. The review focused on ensuring smooth arrangements for devotees during the peak days. Officials planned special measures to avoid inconvenience as large crowds are expected this year.
Ministers Anitha and BC Janardhan Reddy joined the review meeting. Senior officials from the Endowments Department also took part. During the meeting, Anam Ramnarayana Reddy said Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu instructed officials to prioritise devotee comfort. Therefore, authorities must ensure proper facilities at all points.
Meanwhile, the minister announced toll-free vehicle entry on February 14 and 15. On these two days, vehicles will pass through the Srisailam toll gates without any charges. This decision aims to ease traffic congestion during the busiest period of the festival.
In addition, officials expect a higher number of devotees compared to last year. Hence, authorities are arranging expanded parking facilities at multiple locations. These steps will help manage traffic flow and reduce delays. Overall, the government aims to ensure a smooth and peaceful Mahashivaratri experience for all devotees.
