The shooting for the upcoming film starring Kollywood star Suriya and directed by Tollywood filmmaker Venky Atluri has reportedly been completed. Though the makers are yet to make an official announcement, film sources say the team has wrapped up the major shooting schedule.
This project marks Suriya’s 46th film. The team launched the film in Hyderabad in May with a traditional pooja ceremony. Renowned director Trivikram Srinivas formally inaugurated the project by giving the first clap. Sources say the film is shaping up as a full-fledged family entertainer.
Mamita Baiju, who won hearts with her performance in the Malayalam hit “Premalu,” plays the female lead. The film also features Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon and senior actress Radhika Sarathkumar in important roles.
National Award-winning composer G.V. Prakash Kumar is handling the music, marking his reunion with Suriya after the acclaimed “Soorarai Pottru.” Earlier, GV Prakash had expressed confidence that this album would be as special as their previous collaboration.
The film is produced by Sithara Entertainments, one of the leading production houses in South Indian cinema. Nimish Ravi is in charge of cinematography, while Naveen Nooli is handling the editing.
The makers are planning to release the film in summer 2026, raising expectations among fans for another memorable outing from Suriya.
