A sudden clash in Tarana near Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, injured six people after a minor dispute escalated into violence. The incident led to widespread panic as miscreants vandalised 11 buses and damaged several nearby shops, forcing police to step in quickly.
Officials say the incident started after a minor argument, which quickly escalated when a group attacked a member of a Hindu outfit. Within minutes, tensions flared, and the situation spiralled into violence. Locals said the confrontation shocked residents and disrupted normal life in the area.
As the violence spread, a mob targeted public property. Eleven buses parked along the road suffered damage, while multiple shops also faced destruction. Traders reported losses as shutters, glass panels, and signboards were smashed during the chaos.
Police teams reached the spot immediately and brought the situation under control. Authorities registered cases against six accused under attempted murder and other serious charges. Senior officials confirmed that the law-and-order situation in Tarana remains stable, with additional forces deployed to prevent further trouble.
An investigation is now underway to identify others involved in the violence. Police are examining CCTV footage and questioning witnesses. Officials assured strict action against all those responsible and urged residents to maintain peace.
