The Telangana government has announced New Year awards for 630 police officers in recognition of their exceptional service and dedication to duty. The awards highlight the state’s commitment to encouraging professionalism, bravery, and discipline within the police force.
Chief Minister’s Supreme Service Medal for Mahesh Kumar Lakhani
Among the awardees, Intelligence Sub-Inspector Mahesh Kumar Lakhani has been selected for the prestigious Chief Minister’s Supreme Service Medal. In addition, the government will present him with a cash reward of ₹5 lakh for his exemplary performance.
Categories of Medals Announced
Meanwhile, the Home Department released details of the various medals awarded this year. The government has approved:
7 Gallantry Medals for acts of exceptional bravery
53 Hard Service Medals for challenging duty conditions
16 Distinguished Service Medals for long-term excellence
94 Best Service Medals for outstanding performance
459 Service Medals for dedicated and disciplined service
These awards cover officers from different wings of the Telangana Police who have consistently delivered results in demanding situations.
Orders Issued by Home Department
Furthermore, Anand, Special Chief Secretary of the Home Department, officially issued the orders related to the New Year police awards. The announcement reflects the government’s focus on boosting morale and recognising officers who go beyond routine responsibilities.
