Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced a major farmer welfare initiative, promising direct benefits immediately after the municipal elections. Speaking to the media, he highlighted the government’s focus on supporting farmers and low-income households.
Free Essentials for Every Household
The Chief Minister stated that every poor household would receive fine-quality rice, ensuring food security. In addition, the government plans to provide up to 200 units of free electricity to eligible families, helping them reduce daily expenses.
Rythu Bharosa to Benefit Farmers
Revanth Reddy confirmed that the government would deposit Rs. 9,000 crore under the Rythu Bharosa scheme directly into farmers’ accounts once the municipal elections conclude. This step aims to provide immediate financial support to farmers and strengthen their livelihood.

The Chief Minister emphasised that the Congress government remains committed to farmer welfare and social support programs. He assured that initiatives like free rice, electricity, and Rythu Bharosa reflect the administration’s dedication to improving the lives of Telangana’s residents.
