Leaders Across Telugu States Pay Tribute
Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, and leaders from various political parties across the Telugu states paid heartfelt tributes to former Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao on his death anniversary on Tuesday.
Governor Highlights Rao’s Historic Legacy
Governor S. Abdul Nazeer remembered P.V. Narasimha Rao as a visionary statesman, an eminent scholar, and an exceptional administrator. He said Rao played a crucial role in shaping modern India. Moreover, the Governor highlighted his landmark contributions to economic reforms, national integration, and India’s rise on the global stage. He added that Rao’s legacy continues to inspire future generations.
Revanth Reddy Recalls Economic Reforms
Meanwhile, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy described Narasimha Rao as a far-sighted leader who guided the nation through challenging times. He said Rao firmly led India towards economic reforms and laid a strong foundation for liberal economic policies. In addition, the Chief Minister praised Rao as a multilingual scholar, writer, and intellectual symbol of India. He stated that Rao’s vision and public service remain a guiding force for the country.
KTR Calls Rao Architect of Modern India
Similarly, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao termed Narasimha Rao the architect of modern India and a proud son of Telangana. In a post on ‘X’, he said Rao’s services as Prime Minister, economist, reformer, and polyglot were unforgettable. Furthermore, he recalled that after Telangana’s formation, the BRS government honored Rao by celebrating his birth centenary, naming Necklace Road and a veterinary university after him, and installing his statue.
Union Minister and BJP Leaders Pay Homage
At the same time, Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy paid floral tributes at PV Gyan Bhoomi in Hyderabad. He recalled Rao’s contributions as Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh, Union Minister, and Prime Minister. Additionally, BJP Telangana president Ramchander Rao, BJP leader and Rao’s grandson N.V. Subhash, and several party leaders also paid their respects.
