The Telangana government has officially approved a ticket price hike for Young Rebel Star Prabhas’ upcoming film The Rajasaab. This decision has boosted excitement among fans ahead of the film’s theatrical release. Late on Thursday night, the government issued formal orders allowing higher ticket prices for a limited period.
Meanwhile, the makers have planned a grand release across the state, as expectations continue to soar.
Ticket Prices Increased in Two Phases
As per the government order, ticket prices will rise in two phases. First, from Friday to the 11th of this month, multiplexes can charge an additional Rs. 132 per ticket. At the same time, single-screen theatres can add Rs. 105.
Subsequently, from the 12th to the 18th, revised rates will come into effect. During this period, multiplexes can increase prices by Rs. 89. Similarly, single screens can charge an extra Rs. 62. As a result, theatres expect strong collections during the opening week.
Mandatory Contribution to Film Federation
However, the government has also attached a clear condition to the approval. According to the order, theatres must contribute 20 percent of the additional ticket revenue to the Film Federation. This step aims to strengthen industry welfare and support film-related activities.
Horror Comedy Thriller with Big Star Power
The Rajasaab is a high-budget horror comedy thriller produced by People Media Factory. Prabhas leads the film, while Malavika Mohanan, Riddhi Kumar, and Nidhhi Agarwal play the female leads. In addition, Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt appears as the main antagonist.
Moreover, music director S.S. Thaman’s songs and background score have already impressed the youth. Therefore, with ticket price approval in place and massive buzz surrounding the film, The Rajasaab is expected to open to packed theatres across Telangana.
