Tirumala witnessed an intense rush of devotees over the weekend, leading to long waiting hours for Srivari darshan. Because of the surge, devotees without tokens are spending nearly 24 hours in the queue lines. All compartments inside the Vaikuntham Queue Complex are full, while queues outside stretched for several kilometres.
Meanwhile, the heavy crowd pressure continued throughout the hill shrine area. Since it was a weekend, devotees arrived in large numbers from multiple states. As a result, movement inside the queue complexes slowed significantly. However, most pilgrims remained patient despite the extended waiting time.
To manage the situation, TTD staff actively supplied milk, drinking water, and annaprasadam to devotees standing in queues. In addition, officials ensured uninterrupted distribution to prevent discomfort. They also advised devotees to remain calm and follow safety instructions.
On Friday alone, a total of 69,726 devotees had darshan of the Lord. During the same day, 27,832 devotees offered their hair as part of their vows. Furthermore, the hundi collections for the day reached ₹4.12 crore, reflecting steady offerings despite the rush.
TTD officials urged devotees to plan their visits carefully during peak days. According to them, proper planning can significantly reduce pressure during high-crowd periods.
