A woman who came for darshan at Tirumala was bitten by a snake while waiting in the ₹300 special entry queue line. The incident created panic among devotees at the hill shrine. Officials confirmed that the victim, a 27-year-old woman from Telangana, received immediate medical attention and is now in stable condition.
The incident took place when devotees were standing in the special darshan queue. According to temple authorities, the woman suddenly complained of pain, and staff suspected a snake bite. They quickly alerted the medical team and shifted her for treatment without delay.
Devotee Identified, Immediate Medical Response
Officials identified the devotee as Mounika, a resident of Telangana. As soon as the incident came to light, the staff of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams responded swiftly. They rushed her to Ashwini Hospital in Tirumala for first aid.
After doctors provided initial treatment, they shifted her to a hospital in Tirupati for further care. Doctors are closely monitoring her condition. Authorities stated that her health remains stable and there is no need for panic.

Such incidents are very rare at Tirumala, where thousands of devotees visit daily for darshan of Venkateswara. Temple staff regularly inspect queue lines and surrounding areas to ensure safety.
