A Rs 30 lakh donation to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on Tuesday strengthened support for its charitable and devotional initiatives. Sri Yalamanchili Madan Mohan Rao, Managing Director of Smart Software and Mohan Industries, Hyderabad, personally donated the amount as an act of faith and service.
The donor handed over the contribution in the sacred premises of the Srivari Temple. At the historic Ranganayakula Mandapam, Sri Madan Mohan Rao presented the demand draft to TTD Chairman Sri B.R. Naidu. Consequently, the gesture once again highlighted the strong trust devotees place in TTD’s welfare activities.
Donation Focused on Annadanam Trust
During the interaction, the donor requested the TTD Chairman to utilise the funds mainly for the Sri Venkateswara Annadanam Trust. This trust provides free meals to thousands of devotees every day. Moreover, he expressed his willingness to allow the donation to support other TTD-managed trusts involved in social and religious service.
The Annadanam Trust continues to remain one of TTD’s most impactful initiatives. It ensures that pilgrims visiting Tirumala receive nutritious food without any charge. Therefore, contributions of this nature play a crucial role in sustaining the trust’s large-scale daily operations.
Chairman Acknowledges the Support
TTD Chairman Sri B.R. Naidu thanked the donor for the generous contribution. He stated that such donations help TTD consistently maintain high standards in pilgrim welfare services. Furthermore, he assured that officials would utilise the funds responsibly and strictly according to the donor’s wishes.
He also emphasised that continued support from individuals and institutions strengthens Tirumala’s spiritual mission and service-oriented activities.
Officials Attend Donation Ceremony
TTD Board Member Sri Nannapaneni Sadasiva Rao attended the donation ceremony. In addition, senior temple officials and staff participated in the event, which took place smoothly in a devotional atmosphere.
Devotional Contributions Continue at Tirumala
Meanwhile, Tirumala continues to receive steady donations from devotees across the country. These contributions support free food distribution, healthcare, education, and temple maintenance. Notably, the latest donation once again reflects the long-standing tradition of serving Lord Venkateswara through charitable acts.
As pilgrim footfall remains high throughout the year, TTD officials note that such contributions directly help enhance facilities and services for devotees visiting the holy shrine.
