Tragedy struck during Andhra Pradesh Former Chief Minister YS Jagan’s visit to Ibrahimpatnam, leaving two people dead in separate incidents. The visit, which attracted large crowds and intense public excitement, turned fatal for some locals due to reckless behaviour.
One man, Ramesh Reddy, collapsed suddenly near Jogiramesh’s residence while Jagan’s convoy passed. Emergency responders rushed him to Gollapudi Andhra Hospital, but he died from a sudden cardiac arrest.
In another incident, a young man named Bhargav attempted stunts on his bike near the New Gate area of Ibrahimpatnam. He collided with a roadside barrier and died instantly, police confirmed.
During the CM’s visit, authorities imposed strict traffic restrictions, but some party supporters ignored warnings and created dangerous situations.
Residents criticised the lack of safety measures during political events. They demanded stricter crowd control and better enforcement of traffic rules to prevent future tragedies.
The administration promised to strengthen safety protocols for upcoming public events and political visits.
