The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the UGC NET 2025 admit cards for the December session. Candidates who registered for the examination can now download their hall tickets from the official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
Meanwhile, the UGC NET December 2025 examinations will begin on December 31 and continue until January 7, 2026, at various examination centres across the country. With the exams just days away, candidates should download their admit cards without delay.
Steps to Download UGC NET 2025 Admit Card
To download the admit card, candidates must log in using their application number and date of birth. Moreover, the NTA releases admit cards four days before each exam date. Therefore, candidates appearing in later shifts can access their hall tickets accordingly.
UGC NET 2025 Exam Schedule Details
Earlier, the NTA released the subject-wise examination schedule. According to the latest update, the exam will be conducted for 85 subjects in online mode. Additionally, the test will be held in two shifts every day:
Shift 1: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Shift 2: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Furthermore, the agency announced the exam dates in October, followed by a detailed timetable recently.
Why UGC NET Is Important
The NTA conducts the UGC NET examination twice a year. Candidates who qualify become eligible for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor positions in universities and colleges. In addition, the qualification also helps candidates secure admission to PhD programmes across India.
