The Veeramma Thalli Tirunala Mahotsavam began grandly at Uyyuru in the Penamaluru constituency of Krishna district. Large numbers of devotees gathered to witness the traditional rituals and seek the blessings of the goddess.
As part of the long-standing custom, the saree offering ceremony took place from the Uyyuru Town Police Station. Town Station Writer Venkata Reddy and his wife offered the saree to Veeramma Thalli, marking an important ritual of the festival.
Minister Parthasarathy formally inaugurated the Tirunala Mahotsavam by bringing the idol of Veeramma Thalli out from the maternal home. The ceremony drew devotional chants and festive celebrations from devotees present at the venue.
Veeramma Thalli then proceeded through the streets of Uyyuru, blessing devotees along the way. The procession concluded as the goddess reached her parental home, allowing devotees to have a divine darshan.
The goddess will give darshan to devotees for the next 15 days. Minister Parthasarathy praised Veeramma Thalli as a divine mother who fulfils the wishes of her devotees. He said the Tirunala reflects the strong spiritual and cultural traditions of the region.
