Visakha Utsav will begin today on RK Beach in Visakhapatnam and continue until January 31, bringing a festive buzz to the city’s coastline. The main venue has been set up opposite the Kali Mata Temple on RK Beach, where cultural, entertainment, and food events will attract large crowds every evening.
On the opening day, popular singer Sunitha will headline the event with a live performance of film songs. Organisers have scheduled programmes daily from 5 pm to 10 pm, ensuring steady entertainment for visitors. Each day will feature a different theme to keep the celebrations fresh and engaging.
This year, the organisers have added sports and games to the festival lineup. In addition, a separate stage for local artists has been arranged opposite the Novotel Hotel to promote regional talent. This move aims to give local performers a larger platform during the celebrations.
Meanwhile, food lovers can explore 70 food stalls offering a wide range of cuisines. To ease travel, APSRTC will operate 14 special bus services daily from different areas of the city. These services will run from 3 pm to 11 pm, helping visitors reach the venue comfortably.
Officials expect strong public participation throughout the festival, making Visakha Utsav a major attraction this season.
