The much-awaited Vizag Glass Bridge, built atop the scenic Kailasagiri hill, is finally ready for public launch. The impressive structure, designed to offer a thrilling sky-walk experience, will officially open on December 1. On the same day, it will be made accessible to visitors. MP M. Sribharat, along with other public representatives and officials, will inaugurate the bridge, VM RDA Chairman M.V. Pranav Gopal announced.
Constructed jointly by VMRDA and RJ Adventures at an estimated cost of ₹7 crore, the bridge is expected to give tourists a completely new adventure experience. Previously, the longest glass bridge in South India was the 40-meter structure in Kerala. However, the new Kailasagiri Glass Bridge surpasses it with greater length and design excellence.

Built With Global Standards to Offer a World-Class Experience
The Vizag Glass Bridge is illuminated with tricolor lighting that makes it shine spectacularly at night. Ensuring maximum visitor safety, the structure underwent several rounds of inspections and modifications before being approved for inauguration. Entry fees are yet to be finalized and will be announced after discussions with senior officials.
The bridge has been constructed using 40 mm thick laminated glass imported from Germany, adhering to international safety standards. With a total length of 50 meters, it can withstand a load of up to 500 tons and remain stable even under wind speeds reaching 250 km per hour. Although the bridge can accommodate 100 visitors at a time, only 40 will be allowed for safety reasons.
From the bridge, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views—towering hills around, a deep valley below, and the vast sea stretching far into the horizon. Many who explored it during testing said they felt as though they were floating in the air, experiencing a world unlike any other.
The new attraction promises to give locals and tourists in Visakhapatnam an unforgettable thrill and elevate Kailasagiri’s tourism appeal.
