Narendra Modi continues to dominate national and global politics. However, back home, the Prime Minister is facing intensified criticism from opposition leaders. In recent weeks, several women politicians across states have directly targeted him over issues ranging from trade policies to corporate allegations. As political temperatures rise ahead of key elections, the attacks have grown sharper and more personal.

Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has repeatedly questioned the Prime Minister over the Adani controversy, alleged links to international investigations, and India–US trade understandings. He accused the government of shielding select industrialists while ignoring broader economic concerns. These remarks have kept Parliament and public discourse heated.

Sasikala’s Political Comeback in Tamil Nadu

In Tamil Nadu, political dynamics shifted after V. K. Sasikala announced plans to launch a new party. A close aide of former Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa, Sasikala, alleged that central forces attempted to block her political rise. She even claimed that the Prime Minister avoided facing aggressive questioning from women MPs in Parliament. Although the BJP has not officially responded to her remarks, her statements have added fresh fuel to Tamil Nadu’s election climate.

Kavitha Targets Centre Over Arrest and Adani Row

Meanwhile, in Telangana, K. Kavitha, daughter of BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao, has intensified her criticism. She alleged a political vendetta behind her legal troubles and accused the Centre of adopting double standards. Referring to industrialist Gautam Adani, she questioned why action appears swift against opposition figures but slow in high-profile corporate cases. Her remarks have resonated strongly among regional party supporters.

Sharmila’s Sharp Remarks from Andhra Pradesh

In Andhra Pradesh, Congress leader Y. S. Sharmila has also stepped up her attacks. She criticised the Prime Minister over foreign policy decisions and security lapses, including the Pahalgam terror incident. Additionally, she objected to changes in the names of welfare schemes and accused the Centre of undermining democratic values. Her pointed slogans against the Prime Minister have attracted national attention.

Rising Political Narrative

Recently, in the Lok Sabha, opposition women MPs confronted the Prime Minister during heated exchanges, leading to the disruption of proceedings. In West Bengal, the long-standing rivalry between Modi and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee continues to shape political debate.

As election battles intensify across states, a noticeable trend has emerged: women leaders are increasingly taking the lead in challenging the Prime Minister. Whether this momentum will significantly alter the national political equation remains to be seen. However, the growing chorus of criticism signals a more confrontational political phase ahead.
