Inaugural Ceremony Marks a Cultural Milestone
The Third World Telugu Mahasabha began in Guntur with elaborate arrangements and festive enthusiasm. The inaugural function started at 10 am on Saturday amid the devotional chanting of Annamayya Kirtans.
Supreme Court Judge Justice Pamidighantham Sri Narasimha, Union Minister Pemmasani Chandrasekhar, AP Assembly Speaker Chintakayala Ayyannapatrudu, Vishwayogi Vishwamji, and Guntur Mayor Kovelamudi Ravindra formally inaugurated the conference.
Literary, Cultural Programs Run Till Night
Organisers launched parallel programs on four dedicated platforms across the venue. These include literary seminars, poets’ meets, felicitation events, and Telugu film song recitals. All programs will continue till 11 pm each day.
Conference organiser and Andhra Saraswata Parishad president Ghazal Srinivas said the spiritual stage hosts discourses, homas, and traditional wedding rituals.
Showcasing Telugu Heritage and Tradition
The Ramoji Rao Handicrafts Courtyard, set up near the main stage, highlights Telugu heritage. Visitors can explore ancient manuscripts, rare coins, and traditional Telugu cuisine. The display reflects the antiquity and richness of the Telugu language.
In the evening, Odisha Governor Kambhampati Haribabu will attend as the chief guest at the Andhra Sri Purna Kumbh Awards ceremony. Several judges, MPs, MLAs, and cultural leaders will also participate.
Mauritius President to Attend on Day Two
On Sunday morning, Mauritius President Dharambir Gokul will grace the conference as the chief guest. He will arrive in Guntur on Saturday night.
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, AP High Court judges, ministers, and Tripura Governor N. Indrasena Reddy will attend various sessions. The organisers will present the Andhra Saraswata Seva Puraskars in the evening.
CM Chandrababu Naidu to Conclude Conference
The conference will conclude on Monday with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu attending the final sessions. He will unveil a special postal cover commemorating the Third World Telugu Conference.
Former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu will deliver a keynote address titled “Our Telugu Language – Amrutha Bhasha.” Senior judges and Minister Nara Lokesh will attend the valedictory ceremony.
