Former Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) President Shri YS Jagan Mohan Reddy met with party MLAs and MLCs at the central office. He provided strategic directions ahead of the ongoing Assembly and Council budget sessions.
Opposition Strategy in the Assembly
Shri Jagan stressed that the government deliberately avoids recognising YSRCP as the main opposition party. He said, “The ruling party does not want our voice to reach the Assembly.” Despite being the only opposition, he urged MLAs to remain vocal.
He highlighted that the party has strong numbers at the Mandal level. “Raise public issues forcefully and hold the government accountable,” he said. “Preparation with facts and evidence will make our voice stronger.”
Addressing the “Laddu” Controversy
The YSRCP leader criticised the state government for spreading false narratives about the Laddu issue. He clarified that the party has no involvement.
Shri Jagan added that the government must answer allegations and apologise for mismanagement, including ghee supply to TTD. He emphasised that YSRCP followed proper procedures during its term.
Facts on TTD Ghee Supply
Jagan explained the ghee supply timeline to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). He said that tenders, deliveries, and lab checks occurred under previous governments.
Even the rejected consignments were returned following proper rules. “The current administration must answer for actions under their tenure,” he said.
Exposing Coalition Government Corruption
Jagan accused the coalition government of widespread scams. He pointed out that ₹5,000 crore worth of land in Visakhapatnam went to political leaders’ relatives.
“No previous Chief Minister has shown such favouritism,” he said. He urged MLAs to highlight these issues firmly in the councils.
Preparing for Debates and Discussions
YSRCP President encouraged MLAs to engage actively in debates and council discussions. He said members must present facts, documents, and evidence while addressing public grievances.
“Three years may pass, but hard work will earn recognition and opportunities,” he concluded.
