Tension prevailed at Ibrahimpatnam in NTR district during YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s visit after YSRCP activists created disturbances on the roads. The situation turned chaotic near Ring Centre, where several party workers performed bike stunts and raised slogans, ignoring repeated police warnings.
According to police officials, YSRCP supporters rode motorcycles recklessly and shouted slogans despite restrictions imposed for the visit. Officers tried to control the crowd and cautioned the activists, but many continued their activities, leading to safety concerns.
Ahead of YS Jagan’s arrival, police enforced traffic restrictions across key junctions in Ibrahimpatnam. As a result, vehicle movement slowed down sharply in several areas. Small traders and roadside vendors faced major difficulties due to restricted access and reduced customer flow.
Traffic congestion worsened during the visit, causing inconvenience to commuters and residents. Several motorists remained stuck for long periods, while police teams worked to restore order and manage the situation.
Authorities stated that they are reviewing the incidents that occurred during the visit. Police also warned that strict action would follow against those who violated traffic rules and created public nuisance.
