Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education and IT, Shri Nara Lokesh, delivered an inspiring speech to thousands of Telugu NRIs at the Curtis Culwell Center. He assured that the government will always support the Telugu diaspora, just as they supported Andhra Pradesh during difficult times.
Lokesh recalled how Telugu people in the United States stood by N. Chandrababu Naidu when he was “illegally arrested” by the previous regime. He said their unity strengthened the NDA alliance, helping it win 164 out of 175 seats in the recent elections.
He added with pride, “You are not NRIs. You are MRIs — Most Reliable Indians.”
According to him, the people’s strong response transformed the political landscape. “When the previous government said ‘Why Not 175?’, the public answered with ‘Why Not 11?’,” he remarked.
AP Is Now India’s Fastest-Growing State
Lokesh highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s rapid development over the last 17 months. He credited the “double-engine” leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.
He explained how the state adopted a decentralized growth model. Each region now focuses on specific high-impact sectors:
- Anantapur: Automotive
- Kurnool: Renewable Energy
- Chittoor & Kadapa: Electronics Manufacturing
- Nellore: Solar and Diversified Manufacturing
- Prakasam: CBG and Green Fuels
- Krishna & Guntur: Quantum Tech and Capital Projects
- Godavari Districts: Aquaculture and Agro Exports
- North Andhra: IT, Pharma, Medical Devices, and ArcelorMittal Steel
Lokesh said that from 2019 to 2024, people hesitated to say they were from Andhra Pradesh. “Today, AP is racing ahead and shaping India’s future,” he declared.
NDA Government Targets 20 Lakh Jobs
Lokesh reaffirmed that the NDA government’s primary mission is job creation.
“We aim to create 20 lakh jobs in five years,” he said.
He stated that Andhra Pradesh already secured ₹20 lakh crore investments, which can generate 16 lakh jobs. The government is now working quickly to ground these projects.
He stressed the importance of stable governance and added:
“No breakups. No misfires. No crossfires. The NDA will lead AP for at least 15 years to ensure long-term development.”
Support for Students and Diaspora Families
Lokesh announced that the ‘Kallaku Rekkalu’ program will begin next year to support Telugu students studying abroad.
He assured that AP NRTS will protect Telugu families overseas during any social, financial, or legal crisis.
Encouraging the younger generation, he said:
“The world already respects Telugu talent. Now it’s time for our youth to become job creators, not just job seekers.”
He also highlighted the upcoming Ratan Tata Innovation Hub and several new tech parks, which will become major platforms for diaspora-led entrepreneurship.
“Justice Will Be Done”
Lokesh strongly condemned the previous government for humiliating women, including his mother, in the Assembly.
He clarified that the NDA holds no personal grudges.
However, he stressed:
“Those who insulted women will face the law. Justice will be done.”
He added that the government will stay focused on dignity, accountability, and rapid development.
