1. Ration Card Services Go Fully Online
From 2026, people can apply for new ration cards or make corrections online. There will be no need to visit MRO offices. This move will benefit rural residents the most.
2. Farmer ID Mandatory for PM Kisan
Farmers will receive PM Kisan Samman Nidhi funds only if they have a Farmer ID. Crop insurance will also cover wildlife damage, but farmers must report losses within 72 hours.
3. Faster CIBIL Score Updates
Loan applicants will get faster relief. From April 2026, CIBIL scores will update within 7 days, instead of 15 days.
4. Possible Relief in Gas and Fuel Prices
The government plans tax changes to reduce prices of LPG, CNG, and PNG, offering relief to households and vehicle owners.
5. Big Salary Hike for Central Employees
The 8th Pay Commission may come into effect from January 2026. Central employees and pensioners can expect higher salaries and pensions, along with arrears if delayed.
6. PAN–Aadhaar Linking Mandatory
PAN cards not linked with Aadhaar may become inactive after January 1, 2026. This can affect banking and income tax filing.
7. Social Media Rules for Children
The government will restrict social media use for children under 16 years, aiming to protect their mental health.
8. Small Investments in Real Estate
People can invest small amounts in real estate through REITs, similar to mutual funds.
9. Digital Attendance in Government Schools
Teachers’ attendance will be tracked through tablets to ensure transparency and accountability.
10. Stronger Digital Payment Security
Banks will introduce extra security layers, including OTP verification for high-value transactions, to prevent online fraud.
